## Summary

話說前朝，湖廣孝感縣城外鴻漸村地方，有一鄉民，姓廉名野，表號小村。其妻潘氏 ，早生一子，取名潔兒。夫妻三口，是磨豆腐為生，又兼賣些冷酒過日。這廉小村為人忠 誠樸實，雖是一個窮漢，卻專喜行些善事。見人饑餓，便肯留他來家來吃飯；見人寒冷， 便肯將舊衣服與他穿著。故此遠近之人，皆稱他為廉善人。
