Hans ställning inom vår litteratur är så enstaka, och hans rykte så tvetydigt, att han af flera skäl utöfvar på betraktaren en egen dragningskraft. Härtill kommer, att tid efter annan nya källor om honom anträffats, än falska, än sanna, hvilka modifierat en föregående uppfattning och hållit intresset för honom vid lif. Författaren af följande uppsats har visserligen ingen förtjenst af att hafva framdragit hittills obekanta fakta, men han har ansett det kunna löna...
