## Summary

Siinä se seisoi. Vanha koulu. Mahtavana rakennusrykelmänä. Kuutamossa hohtavanvalkeana. Kasvot vasten kasvoja iäkkään ystävänsä, varjoisan puiston, kanssa. Yhteiseen syleilyynsä sulkien vanhan kirkon ja pronssisen suurmiespatsaan. Keskellä kaupunkia se seisoi. Oman arvonsa tuntevana. Rauhallisena. Kuin kaikkien niiden pahojen kielten kiusallakin, jotka kuiskuttivat, että sen paikka olisi ollut jossakin syrjemmällä, jossakin laitakaupungilla.
