## Summary

No te alebres, lector, al afrontar el título de este volumen, imaginando que van a servirte versos escritos en todas o algunas de las treinta y tantas lenguas vernáculas del Archipiélago Filipino. Ni yo sabría aderezar ese manjar, ni tú cómo catarle. Sobre que tal poesía es parva, "difícil de exponer", según el ilustrado erudito de allá Don Epifanio de los Santos Cristóbal, y con la antinomia de ser sus cultivadores, tanto o más que los autóctonos, misioneros españoles, en rimas "a lo divino", enderezadas a inyectar la fe de Cristo en los corazones isleños.
