At the end of August, 1605, Garnet leaves London for Gothurst—— Famous pilgrimage to St. Winifred’s Well, Flintshire, North Wales, about 5th September, made from Gothurst——Lady Digby, Ambrose Rookwood and his wife, the Honourable Anne Vaux, and upwards of thirty others, join the pilgrim-band——Father Garnet and Father Percy, chaplain to Sir Everard Digby, lead the cavalcade——Away about a fortnight.
