This book was published under some disadvantages, as it was delayed by the removal of our office to a larger place of business, and by a printers' strike, which resulted in four changes in foremen. This, together with the fact that the author was upon the Pacific coast and proof was delayed and sometimes lost has led to errors for which he is not responsible.
