DIE MEISTERSTUeCKE DER DEUTSCHEN LYRIK

With Introductions and Notes by

Richard M. Meyer,

This new series will contain only the finest lyrics in the German language. Believing that, other things being equal, a native critic is the best judge of his country's writers, the publishers have entrusted the editing of the series to Dr. Meyer, of Berlin University, one of the most eminent living authorities on German literature. The _format_ is uniform with that of "Les Chefs-d'[Oe]uvre de la Poesie lyrique francaise," which have already proved very successful, not least in France itself.
