I will not do you wrong by supposing that you need words of mine to urge you to this duty. If the knowledge of the facts which you possess did not move you, it were vain to expect that any reasoning, any expostulation, any entreaty would avail. Whoso hath this world’s goods, and seeth his brother in _such_ need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of GOD—or anything else excellent or human—in him?
