- **Project Gutenberg** — digitized public-domain books (primarily U.S. public domain).
- **Wikisource** — community-transcribed texts in multiple languages.

We do not claim copyright on the underlying public-domain texts. Presentation, site structure, and tooling are provided by Cyber Library.

## Public-domain & territory

Public-domain status is **jurisdiction-dependent**. Texts hosted here are curated under a **United States–oriented** public-domain assumption (typical of Project Gutenberg’s catalog rules). They may still be restricted in other countries.

You are responsible for verifying that a work is lawful to access or redistribute where *you* are located. When in doubt, check local copyright law or the original Gutenberg / Wikisource rights notice.
